Our History
1927
I’Anco (originally called A1 Steel Foundry) established as a pattern shop on the West Coast. Began producing equipment for the logging industry in 1935. Known for cast alloy chains still in demand over 80 years later.
1935
Lacey Harmer established to supply logging equipment. Purchased by Sam and Judy Cope in 1979, later introducing the world-renowned Sharp Top Chain™ in the 1980s.
1993
Tectronix Systems Inc. founded by Greg Balmer to manufacture Metal Shark™ detectors, now essential to the forestry industry.
1994
Viking Chains Inc. founded by Cliff Lane and partners, starting from Delta, B.C., and later expanding globally supplying quality chain and complete solutions.
2013
Viking Chains acquired by Canerector Inc. and merged with I’Anco, Lacey Harmer, and Tectronix to form Connexus Industries.
